Printing Process
1.
What is DTG printing?
DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing is a modern digital printing technique that applies water-based inks directly onto fabric using high-quality inkjet technology. This method allows for highly detailed, full-colour prints with no setup costs, making it ideal for complex designs and small-batch production. Unlike screen printing, DTG printing enables soft, breathable prints that integrate seamlessly with the fabric while maintaining excellent durability.
2.
Do your prints last a long time?
Absolutely! Our products are created using Kornit DTG machines provide exceptional colour and wash fastness, making them some of the most durable prints in the DTG industry. To maximise longevity, we recommend washing garments at 30°C and avoiding direct ironing on the print. By following these simple care instructions, your prints will stay vibrant for years. Unlike traditional screen printing, our water-based prints are highly resistant to cracking and peeling.
3.
Can the garments smell after printing?
Yes, freshly printed garments may have a mild vinegar-like smell due to the fixation agent used in the DTG printing process. This is completely normal and will disappear after the first wash.
4.
Does print quality change on bright-coloured garments?
When printing on bright-coloured garments such as yellow, orange, or gold, the garment’s colour may slightly affect the final print, particularly when using black ink. In some cases, the fabric colour can show through the print, which may impact the overall quality and appearance.
